May 1st and 2nd, 2026. Gates Open 5p.m., Rodeo starts 7:30p.m.

In rodeo, Mutton Bustin’ is an event that is always exciting! It occurs during the Rodeo performances on Friday and Saturday nights, where children emulate cowboys and cowgirls by attempting to maintain their grip on a sheep as it runs across the arena. Each participant will receive a goodie bag from the Blue Rose PRCA Charity Rodeo Committee!

Eligibility Requirements:

• Participation is restricted to children aged 5-7 who weigh under 70 pounds at the time of competition.
• Participants must wear mandatory helmets and protective vests provided by Blue Rose PRCA Charity Rodeo.
• Participants must wear long pants, long-sleeved shirts, and sturdy, closed-toe shoes for safety reasons. No Spurs are allowed! One parent will be allowed in the arena and must also wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes.
• Parent/Guardian must sign waiver releasing the Blue Rose PRCA Charity Rodeo and Barnes Rodeo.

Check-In Procedures:

Participants must check in before each rodeo performance. Specific timing for check-in will be communicated upon selection. Punctuality is crucial; late arrivals will forfeit their spot, as we will proceed with the next participant without delay.
